Grass-Fed | Grass Finished Buffalo Burger
Ingredients:
1 pound SWRFM ground bufallo meat | grass-fed and grass finished1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 hamburger buns
Your choice of toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, etc.)
Olive oil or cooking spray for grilling
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground bison meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making sure to press the center slightly to prevent bulging during cooking.
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grates with olive oil or spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the bison patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired level of doneness is reached (bison is best served medium-rare to medium).
During the last minute of cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly golden brown.
Once the patties are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
Assemble your bison burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun and adding your favorite toppings.
