Organic Quail Egg Toast

Organic Quail Egg Toast

Ingredients:

4 slices of your preferred bread (whole grain, sourdough, etc.)
2 ripe avocados
8 SWRFM organic quail eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: sliced cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, chopped cilantro, microgreens, or crumbled feta cheese

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Avocado Spread:
  • Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add a squeeze of lime juice for extra flavor if desired.

2. Toast the Bread:
  • Toast your bread slices until they reach your desired level of crispiness.

3. Cook the Quail Eggs:
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil.
  • Crack the quail eggs into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolks.
  • Cook the eggs for about 1-2 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. You can cover the skillet with a lid to help the eggs cook evenly.

4. Assemble the Toast:
  • Spread a generous amount of mashed avocado onto each slice of toasted bread.
  • Carefully place two cooked quail eggs on top of each slice of toast.
  • Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  • Add any optional toppings you prefer, such as sliced cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, chopped cilantro, microgreens, or crumbled feta cheese.

5. Serve:
  • Serve the organic quail egg and mashed avocado toast immediately while it's still warm.
  • Enjoy as a delicious and nutritious breakfast, brunch, or snack!
